Sohyun Ahn, 2027, Majors: Mathematics and Economics
I am a sophomore who grew up in Stockton, California but moved to El Paso, Texas. I am a violinist in the Amherst Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Asian and Pacific American Action Committee. Some of my hobbies and interests are reading–my favorite books include Wuthering Heights, The Lord of the Rings, and Momo–embroidery, and fashion history.
Natalie Fu, 2027, Major: Chemistry
I am a sophomore Chemistry major from Santa Cruz, California. Outside of the classroom, I am a forward on the women’s ice hockey team. I also enjoy playing ultimate frisbee, cooking, climbing, and spending time with my family– especially my dog, Waldo.
Courtney Hall, 2027, Major: Neuroscience
I am a sophomore at Amherst College originally from Charleston, SC. I plan on studying Neuroscience during my time at Amherst while taking classes outside my major like Food Politics! I am a coxswain on Amherst Crew and enjoy spending time with friends and family outdoors and on the water.
Achaia Jones, 2027, Major: Biochemistry
I am sophomore from Satellite Beach Florida, who is a varsity football athlete and member of the Umass Senior Army R.O.T.C program. I study biochemistry at Amherst, and have hopes of going to medical school to pursue orthopedic surgery. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy cooking, hiking, and biking.
Anna Jordan, 2027, Major: Neuroscience
I am a sophomore at Amherst from New York City. I am planning on majoring in neuroscience. Outside of the classroom, I love running with the Amherst College Run Club, playing tennis, biking, and cooking with my friends and family.
Brynn Korpi, 2025, Major: Psychology
I am a senior Psychology major from Westchester, New York. Outside of the classroom, I am a captain of the women’s lacrosse team. I enjoy baking, running, spending time with my friends and family, and hanging out with my dog, Crew!
Audrey Lee, 2027, Math and Music
I am a sophomore from Providence, RI, planning on majoring in math and music. At Amherst, I am a member of the Sabrinas, an a cappella group on campus, as well as the Women’s Club Basketball team. In my free time I enjoy doing anything active, like running and playing tennis!
Ryan McGurn, 2027, Biochemistry
I am a sophomore biochemistry major from Braintree, Massachusetts. Outside of class, I play right tackle for the football team. I enjoy cooking, hiking, listening to music, and hanging out with my dog, Jake. I hope to attend medical school after Amherst.
